With a Ph.D. in Town Planning, Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi has an array of achievements under her belt. She is a professional with a high caliber doctorate in Architectural Engineering with a specialization in Urban Built Environment. She is also a graduate of the UAE Government Leaders Program of the Prime Minister’s Office, in the category of Executive Leaders, and holds a certification in Risk Management Assurance by the IIA New York. She has attained over 15 years of diversified leadership experience in the Middle East and has also produced exemplary publications in the field of town planning. She also currently serves as a faculty member in the Architecture Department, College of Architecture, Art and Design at Ajman University.
As a result of her visionary initiatives, Dr. Nahla also leads many influential entities, some of which include being the Vice President of the Board of Governance of UAE Society of Engineers, Chair of Women Empowerment Council at Ajman University, Chair of Women Engineers Committee at UAE Society of Engineers and she is also a member of the Board of governance of Rashid Bin Humaid award for Culture and Science.
Layered with versatile achievements, she has been recognized over the years with many awards and acknowledgments. Her most recent achievements include; the Woman of the Year Award by the Global Women Entrepreneurship Conference 2022 and the GCC Engineering Excellence Award in the 23^rd Gulf Engineering Forum. She has also been awarded the 2020 Women Leadership in Developing Engineering Sectors in the Arab World, Federation of Arab Engineers, Jordan in February 2020, and the Women Leaders in the Engineering Sector award by the Kuwait Society of Engineers also in February 2020. She also received the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Award for Academic Excellence in 2010.
As a multifaceted professional, Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi is an expert in audit management, risk governance and fraud prevention domains. She is adept at formulating, implementing and improving business procedures and policies.  Over the years, she has made noteworthy contributions in form of producing and maintaining sustainable relationships with both internal and external bodies while also growing a strong professional network.
