The world’s largest poultry exporter, BRF is present in over 117 countries and owns iconic brands, such as Sadia, Perdigão, and Quality. BRF owns 35 manufacturing plants in Brazil, and in 10 states, in addition to another 6 plants abroad, including the factory in the UAE - Abu Dhabi KIZAD.
Our purpose is to offer increasingly tastier, more practical, good-quality food to people around the world through the sustainable management of a vivid, long, and complex chain that provides everyone with a better life, from farm to table.
We have been in the Middle East since the 1970s. Today BRF is a leading company in the production and distribution of frozen Halal food products across GCC countries. BRF operates from farm to table and fully owns the production and distribution operation in the GCC.
The UAE has always been a strategic market for BRF in the region. It is the second-largest country in terms of volume and value. Therefore, it became the basis of our factory which is the biggest in the region with a production capacity of 80,000 tons/year of value-added products.
The UAE factory is one of our most advanced factories, especially when it comes to ESG (Environmental, social, and governance), as we have deployed our first water recycling system, greener fuel adoption (natural gas instead of diesel), implementation of energy management tools for the plant, and currently, we are studying on projects related to energy efficiency, and solar panels.
BRF is further increasing the capacity of our UAE factory by developing engineering solutions to improve equipment and line efficiency, by increasing product output, based on machinery updates, using Lean methodology, and bringing process experts into the loop from other factories of our company.
Today, the factory in KIZAD enables BRF to innovate and distribute the products with a high speed to market, offering a better customer experience in the region.
